External Filter Fluval 105

hi i have just bought a fluval 105 external filter fitted works very quite
but can anyone tell me how often i clean it out also my water level is about 1 inch lower than should be is there a water i can buy that i can just put
in rather than trying to work out how much tap safe to put in for an inch of water
i know rain water is great but no rain at moment.

Can you calculate the volume of water required and fill a bucket with that amount of tap water and then add the correct amount of tap safe.

no need to buy water. if you are worried about how much to use (tap safe), just dose the whole tank volume. but its, far, less complicated than that! top up during water changes. it cant be too hard to work out how much you need, that way.

ok thanks for help, just one last question i have 2 black widdow's they keep chassing each other plus i have 2 guppies they keep taping them but im not sure if they are playing or not.

ok thanks for help, just one last question i have 2 black widdow's they keep chassing each other plus i have 2 guppies they keep taping them but im not sure if they are playing or not.

sorry, i have no experience of these fish.
 
The black widows and the guppies are not playing. The guppies are really serious. In an established tank, things like a water change take into account the effects of doing a water change while everyone else thinks in terms of individual fish profiles.
