Thanks guys. I'll keep you posted.

Ken - It should be getting enough light. I'm using 8000K 65W on the left side and 6700K on the right side. I just switched them over anyway cuz the plants on the left are doing fine and the right could do with a little boost. We'll see what happens.

I'm unhappy with the center now! It looks odd now the rest looks so good. The corymbosa doesn't look how I expected it to. Why are it's leaves always pointing upward? I kinda thought they'd like drop and droop down, know what I mean?

It looks to me like there is too much of the ricca. I would remove the 2 slate bits on the right, and put some small bushy plants on that side to even out the cave on the left (im big on symmetry). Maybe a crypt of some sort.

I love it I am going to start showing you all my progress soon with my tanks and plants. So I am going to need all kinds of help.. I am starting on my 55 gallon tank Monday. Then sfter that my 180 gallon tank.

I love it Pseud. Looks great. You got tonnes of riccia.

Angel Lady, can't wait to see pics of your tank. I've noticed you've been taking an interest in the planted section!

excellent work pseud. I like how its turning into a beauty.

Did you try the tank with a different backdrop, like instead of a solid color try a planted tank background? Like mine sorta.

Thanks guys, for the kind comments :)

Houndour: Sucks you're in the UK. There's so many people I wanna send riccia to for helping me out but most live in the UK!

Blask: Thanks man, just a little more work to go, a few more plants, and I'll be 'finished' ;) I haven't tried a planted tank background cuz, well, no offense, I hate them :p

Pseud the tank is gorgeous! My dream tank! I have a 35 and a 30 that I'll be planting, but I have no clue what I'm doing with lighting and CO2 or whatever. There will deffinately be hand holding involved...

Walt: I know man! I've already changed it around a bunch lol

JD: Thanks! gff and zig are really helpful, just bug them til they tell you EVERYTHING. They're used to it. :) And send me a PM too.. I'm bored.

wow, just come back from holiday and saw this thread. quite honestly i'm stunned. that looks awesome and i'm jealous. as to the riccia it could be a nutrient thing. does it all pearl straight after a water change? if so somethings low. dont ask me what though.. but it wont be light if thats the case.

truely stunning mate, i'm impressed.

;)

Thanks Jim, wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for your help, especially in the beginning with all those PMs about lighting!

As you can guess, I'm already thinking of ways to improve it, looking out for new plants, formulating some ideas in my mind ;) Guess this thread will go on forever!

Oh, the riccia problem I solved. Some of the riccia was being shadowed by plants and I couldn't even tell! I've rearranged some things, but I'll post pics in a week or two when I'm happy with it again.

How wonderfully ironic! I vaguely remember a PMing spree a good while back between Jimbooo and myself. Great to hear the knowledge is spreading effectively.

Okay, time for an update. Couple of plants have traded places, some new plants been added, waiting for some plants to grow still, but hey, it's evolved enough to post some more pics.

Next week I'll be relpacing the Hygro Poly on the left and the Wisteria in the center. Tired of how wild it gets and the ariel shoots. The vals in the center are new. Don't love them but I like them enough to keep them for now. I'm on the lookout for a nice java fern that will grow all bushy (like George's), and wanna place that to the left of them. I got some Rotala Indica from Walt (thanks mon), it's growing nice. I like it bunched together real dense like:

Riccia is pearling wonderfully since I moved the floating riccia from the surface. Oh, and gotta love these phantom tetra. I only have 5. Wouldn't mind adding a few more:

Glosso I planted today. Man, what a chore. But my DIY tweezers worked great! (Hope it pays off)

Hygrophila Corymbosa pearling after giving it more light:

..and this is how it's grown since I posted about how it was looking to erect and not bushy enough... it's getting there:

Next week I start EI dosing. Need to get a PO4 test kit. Yikes. No idea where to go. The dwarf sag is growing pretty nicely, seeing a few runners coming up here and there. The ludwigia repens is growing out. I attemtped to make a carpet, :*) it looked alright I guess, but that plans changed now cuz of the glosso.

No signs of algae still!

Thanks for looking and all the help guys.
