I'm thinking of buying a few 2x males and 2x females. I wanna try and breed them. I'm just gonna put they by themselves in a 10 gallon I think.

I've bred guppies so are breeding Endler's about the same as guppy breeding?

What kind of enviroment should I make for these fish? Like a river environment (rocks, drift wood, live plants etc.) Or a tropical environment? Give me some help here.

Should I use salt?

WHat is the ratio for these, 3 females for every male?

The natural biotope for Endlers is just about the nastiest one possible...trust me, you don't want to recreate it.

Endlers are pretty much as easy to breed as guppies. Ratio is about the same as guppies...more females than males to prevent harassment. They do well in hard water. I doubt they need salt.

Cool stuff, don't keep them with your guppys though, they will cross.

I don't think you need a biotope, the endler's biotope is nothing pretty to look at, and the fish are quite hardy, im sure they'll take well to w/e set-up you have.

Can anyone describe what there biotope is like? Just made me curious becuase everyone tells it's ugly.

endlers actually are a type of guppy. At least they have been recently classified as such by many. They interbreed easily and are now just suspected as a varitation or supspecies of guppy.

I'm just gonna have endler's and a snail in the tank .

endlers can survive fresh water upto full marine i actually have mine in brackish with a an sg of 1.014 at the minute very hardy fish they will not stop breeding though!!! if you want to drive to preston you can have all of mine for free
