I'd do Shelldwellers. They are the most interesting fish I've ever kept.

Actually, I have shellies on my nightstand. And on my dresser. And in my kitchen.....

Im goign to set up a 12 gallon nano. Its not that much only a couple hundred dollars, if you have the money I would go for it. Plus saltwater are more interesting I am told.
couple hundred? i am changing over from fw to saltwater and it will only be around 50$!

I forgot about shelldwellers. I would go for them also. How would it be only $50? Live rock alone would cost more then that.

I say shellies deffinately - or killies if you want color.

I'd kill to do shellies, you have no idea.. but my LFS can't get them. I even begged and pleaded with the one guy who'd do anything for me [including touch my butt regardless of who's around  ..it's creepy, but I still get good deals] and he can't find a supplier who can get them in. I wanted to get them when I got my 15g, but I've not been able to find them anywhere.

DPs would be adorable, but I'm not too sure if they'd manage to much on all of the snails I have before they could breed to make more.
Neons I know would be easy, because I can get 6 for like.. $10. And they're always in stock!

I love the female betta community idea.. I can't believe that actually never occured to me before. I guess I have a lot more choices to think about than I realized!

Everyone loves the puffers!

Only thing that just occured to me with that is that I'd be running a sponge filter on this tank for a while.. would that be enough filtration for messy little eaters like puffers?

oh ya, spnge filters are ok, just clean the gravel once a week, and do good water changes, not like its hard on a 10 gallon
