Thanks canarsie, yea i didnt think i would ever finish but its finnaly over. I had a big hockey game tonight so i couldnt get my fish, but at least we won!! Anyways, before i left for hockey, i did about a 50% water change and added a bit of ammonia to feed some of the bacteria. Yet, for about 6 hours my filters were off, could this kill my bacteria?? I wouldnt thinks so and i hope not, do you gusy know though??? Well when i got back to test the water i got my ammonia (.25, cuz of the ammonia i added), 0 nitrite, about 15 Nitrate, so i think im all set to get fish, my bacteria should be fine even though the filters were off though rite??

I think 6 hours would kill the bacteria.

The bacteria can only last about 3 hours when the filters are turned off. I might be wrong.
