Ember Tetras

My LFS has some little embers (which the guy told me were baby silvertips...) and i want some!
Has anyone kept them, and would they be ok in a 25L(6.5 gal) tank? Their max size is about 3cm

I have a couple of embers and they`re lovely little fish, ideal for a nano size tank. They do zip about rather quickly and are better when a few are kept together, 6 is usually a good shoaling number for small fish in a small tank

i have a shoal of 8 (did have 10 but lost 2 sadly) the intention was to put them into a 30 lt tank in my kitchen but they have ended up in my 120 lt community tank.most of the time they stick together with the odd adventurous one that goes for a look around.i would say go for it but do get a nice shoal size.

A shoal of these would look great,they are cute little fish,i have 9 of them which i bought about 6 months ago and they are doing great

The LFS must be blind,silvertip tetras look nowt like embers silvertip are yellowy gold colour and grow up to 2 inches and embers are red/orange colour and stay small...

got 12 of these all i can say is get them and get as many as you can lovely shoaling patterns i get in my 220ltr

They do look amazing at LFS, but i think they have the goldish variety - they have the exact same size/body shape but are a goldy orange colour

I was just worried about bullying. Apparently shoals in small tanks can end up killing a member
