in my local lfs they have these at 2 for £12. ive seen them at £20 each in the same shop before and think they have them priced wrong so might get 4. do they breed in the same way as gbr? would 4 be enough to get a pair???

Either it's wrong price or it's not electric Ram if you ask me. Either way they need soft acidic water. So if you have that then get a few.

They ARE german blue rams so yes they breed in exactly the same way. Definitely buy them if you have the tank space and water requirements (nice n soft, pref ph 6-6.5). They should hopefully breed pretty easily for you so long as they're fed well and have plenty of water changes.

Just seen these for the first time in Rare Aquatics in Crewe for the same price £12 for a pair. Not sure if I like them or not, they had a tank full of them there

i have really good soft water were i am but the ph isnt that low. my other rams are thriving though and ive had the males well over a year. i breeder local to me suggested using indian leaves for breeding rams, then remove the female first and a bit later the male. is this correct?
