Electric Blue Rams

would rather keep at the temp it is,as i have other fish in the tank to consider,so if that temp didn't suit them i wouldn't get them,do you know if they will be compatible with the apistos?

cheers

what other fish have you got in your tank

panda corys
lorentensis corys
neon tetras
scarlet tetras
rosy tetras
otos

i think that sounds alright by me
but its what other people say it sounds
good though i have kept the with cory's
before and tetras

just don't want to adjust my water parameters,as all my fish have spawned at one time or another, apistos spawned, unfortunately all fry were eating, rosy tetras spawned managed to save one, neons and scarlets seem to spawn just after lights out at night, rosy tetras gorge themselves on the eggs,as long as the rams would be ok i might get them

cheers

i thought you meant apistos not rams they need the temp on a little on the high side which might cause problems sorry i got hold of the wromg end of the stick

i'll just leave them then, just thought with more been captive bred the might be able to adjust to different range of temps.
thanks

what about bolivian rams i have seen them
in a commutiy tank before today or nannacara anomala

Bolivians will be fine with the apistos,

I have a pair of bolivian rams with a trio of apisto cacatuoide double red, not probs whatsoever

Hope they are settling in fine, they are great fish.

Make sure you keep up with your weekly water changes as rams need fairly low nitrates.
