How much should I expect to pay for a 1.5" electric blue JD?
My lfs is selling them at £30 each which I thought was loads

Cheapest I have seen is £20 for about that size, they are a very expensive fish.

A year ago I got mine for $20. And it was 1" now he is only 4" and looks way more deformed then he did when I first got him. He is now a deformed runt. Oh well. If you want a good one get them from a breeders or get adults. Personaly I like mine but would never buy a ebjd again. It's just too hard to get a good one.

I got my severum the same time he is now 6" and growing. my ebjd seems to have stop growing at 4".

I bought mine in October 2008 for £25. They are rather expensive and it depends entirely on the genes of the fish. I've seen some stunning juvi's sold for £30+ and they are magnificent. Then i've seen some for £10 but they were washed out juvi's and really looked quite tatty.

Worth every penny if you can find a good specimen. Anything between £20-30 is an average price TBH. I got an absolute stunner i did :)

EDIT: My current picture is actually my male EBJD taken in November 2008 when he was 1.5". He cost me £25 as i mentioned. More recent pics of how he matured are in my dempsey journal.
