Well title sorta explains what I'm trying to ask my electricity is gonna be switched of from 9 am to 5 pm has anyone an ideas what I should do to keep my fish happy an the temperature not to fall to much?? I'm assuming my filter will be ok of for this period of time....

I would lower the temp on your heater a bit before the power goes out so there's not as bigger drop

The temperature sits between 24.5 an 25.5 all the time... You think I should lower it more...

My tank is 350 litres...

Just wrap it up well before the electric goes off and leave it until the power comes back on again.

At 350l, it won't lose much heat, if it's well insulated.

Agree with fluttermouth. A tank that size should lose heat slowly so as long as its wrapped up in should be fine.

Unless you have an in-tank filter, remove the bio-media from the filter and put it into the tank. Put it back into the filter when the power returns.

Filter media should be fine in a canister. And I wouldn't lower the temperature beforehand. Just do as fluttermoth advised, wrap it well and it should be fine.

Odd time of year for a scheduled power outage ...

Just wrap it in blankets are cling film are something like that??

Yeah I know that got a letter through the door today saying the electric will be going out wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't as cold outside...

That should do it. Or just use clothespins or binder clips to hold the blankets on.

My eltricity was off for about 6 hours due to heavy snow the other night.
I had no power at all from about 11 pm until 5 am. I wrapped my tank with 2 blankets before I went to bed, when I woke our actual room temperature had dropped to down to 13 degrees but my tank had only dropped 1 degree centigrade so was fine.

Mine is only a 72 litre as well so I'm sure yours will be fine for 8 hours or so just wrap it up , tuck them in and read them a nice bedtime story lol.
