Try the cell phone number Bloozoo gave you, LOL. How did you pay for it? If you paid by credit card can you file a complaint? :dunno:

Good luck!

yeh i could call the number but im thinking give it 2 more days then thats it

ive got another eheim coming soon so will use that for a while whilst my marine tank is out of use.

If that he doesn't reply & won't answer his phone, do you have any really big friends, LOL. Maybe a knock at the door would spark his memory.

Hopefully he has already shipped your new filter and just forgot to email you back. Could happen.

:hey: was thinking the same thing :D

thing is he cant send out the new filter until this one is approved to be replaced and then collected.

im just annoyed because he hasnt replied yet. One of my jobs is a webmaster + i run a large online shop with over 2000 products and i know for a fact people in this trade check their emails VERY regulary.

I dealt with one such person / online aquatic dealer before.

Ordered my product online and money came straight out of my credit card, but no product came :grr: After sending emails etc. for 2 weeks, I wrote a stern letter and sent it to the address I found on "whois" (phone number always went through to voice mail) and the next day I had my money back

Suffice to say I won't be using them again

Anyway, I hope you get is sorted !

It wasn't the same online aquatic dealer was it Bloozoo? Guess I have been fortunate enough so far not to have had any bad experiences online. I wouldn't really go knocking on anyones door but I couldn't say that the thought wouldn't have crossed my mind. I'd defintely call someones cell phone though. ;)

A good laugh usually seems to make me think about the situation alittle better. A good letter often does wonders.

I bet it is annoying. Hang on there. Hopefully it will get taken care of soon. If not maybe Bloozoo can write one of her stern letters for ya.

 I'm quite good at writing stern (but "nicely" diplomatic") letters and generally always get the desired result.

But no, it wasn't the same company. I don't want to slate them as it might have been a once off situation - I just wont use them again and will obviously never recommend them either.

Like I said I have never had a bad online experience, I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I usually like to shop around home so I can actually see the goods I am getting.

I did have someone sell me a broken DVD player last year though & he didn't want to exchange it for a new one on the same day I bought it. Told me I would have to send it in to the manufacturer for repairs. I just paid him a visit on a very busy Saturday afternoon, with my broken DVD player in hand, of course. He decided he would refund my money completely and asked me very politely never to shop in his store again. :*) Oops!

Thought that would make ya feel better Aaron.

You are covered by the Distance Selling Regulations, I would think. If you have no joy fairly soon you could contact Trading Standards. I have found them very helpful.I dealt with a dreadful company for computer parts and Trading Standards were very interested, particularly as the company did not inform me of my rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. Luckily I got my money back so Trading Standards left it at that. It is a free service. Well, nothing is free !, I think it is paid for through Council Tax but you know what I mean. :) P.S. I assume you are in the UK

last update:

got back from london this morning and was happy to see a brand new filter sitting in my hallway :D

Rob, the owner of fishfurandfeather, sent out the replacement yesterday evening and i recieved the item within 24hours :)

Very nice bloke to deal with, little delay with the emails (i think i need to be a little more patient :p ), but the turnaround has been very quick and straightforward.

I would highly recommend this shop.

http://www.fishfurfeather.com

Definately a worthy listing in your favourites i think :p
