Eheim 2013 O Ring Problems

Hi was wondering if someone could help me. Have just got my old Eheim 2013 classic canister filter out to use on my new tank but its been so long since i've used it i cant remember how many o rings seal the top? I tried it with one but when the canister filled it leaked everywhere!
I've just put two rings on now but havn't tested it yet, the top fits with two but its very tight, i really have to lean on it to be able to do the clips up. Is that right?? Thanks in advance

i am sure there is only one o ring
seal on the top of them the old on might
of shrunk i would go to you LFS and see
if you can get a new one as putting to much
pressure on them while putting the top
on can snap the clips off and also smash
the canister
