Eggs?

Hi people.

I have.....

Guppys
Swordtails
Leopard danios
Neon + cardinal tetras
Corys

I took my filter out to clean yesterday and as I lifted it out of the tank I noticed 3 patches of eggs stuck on the back of it, so I quickly and carefully put it back

Does andbody know which fish these eggs could belong to?

I know it's not the guppys or swordtails, obviously... But I can't understand how any fish could have laid them there as the gap is tiny

Out of your fish, the only ones that stick their eggs to things are the cories; I suppose it could be one of the others species if the eggs could have been sucked there by the filter.

+1 Corys, the others do not produce sticky eggs.

Imagine this.....bracket on 4 suckers sticks to side of tank, then filter clicks onto bracket for easy removal. The eggs are between bracket and filter and the gap is tiny so I don't know how they've got in. How long do the take to hatch? Thanks

Btw, the eggs are of a dark colour and I think they had a brownish spot in the middle

Usually 1-4 days, depending on the species.

My albino corys always managed to get eggs behind the filter and heater, never quite sure how they managed that myself.
