I miss my eels. Used to have a tiretrack eel, and another time a fire eel. But, as I no longer have an aggressive tank, I haven't had an eel for some time.
However, while perusing random aquarium pics online at work today, I saw a couple tanks that appeared to be African cichlid tanks with eels in them. Is this at all feasible? I have a 137g Malawi tank. None of the fish I have in it (Malawi Butterflies, Demasoni, Redfin Borleyi, Acei, Yellow Labs, Synodontis Polli catfish) are overly aggressive. I'd love to ad either a fire eel, or a tiretrack.
Also, I have a couple 8-10" Senegal bichirs in my water garden that I'd love to move into the cichlid tank as well.
Any advice, or yays/nays?
