im not new to the hobby but i m getting rid of my existing tank becaus theres no fish

i saw the eco pico and really liked it so i was looking for some ideas

samll fish its about 5.2 us gallons i think

i might do saltwaterbut it depends

A 5 gallon tank? What would you do with that? I don't even think it's possible for a salt water tank that small.

I just looked up the ecopico aquarium, and found it at 109 dollars for 5 gallons of water in a incredibly cube shape of a tank (10"x10"x12")

Stocking such a tank would be a chore with the lack of room. I also don't see why you would spend over 100 dollars on a tank that holds less water than your average bucket.

All I could really see for stocking on this is a betta fish and some shrimp. Maybe some guppies or something.

If you're looking for something different as a fish tank, I'd avoid all the designer stuff and honestly just aim for a bowfront, corner, or half moon tank. A lot of designer tanks come with a heavy price, lack of room, and often need special sorts of filters and decorations to fit in it, due to small openings on the lids and the like.

I've got a half moon one and I wouldn't recommend it. It actually distort everything and it's hard to see where the fish are. You can only see well if you're directly in front of it. In this tank, I have 3 dwarf red platies -- Romeo and his 2 ladies (no names as I can't tell them apart). The setup kit for this tank is not the best either, it's noisy water fall noise, the feeding hole is right in the current and there's too much of it almost creating a whirlpool due to the shape of the tank. The bowed front small tanks are better IME.

i mean my fish died of old age i just want something small i liked the desighn and im trying to find it on sale im just asking for recomendations like tetras or guppies which type should i have

i was thinking about dwarf puffers but i would only say that after doing a ton of reasearch

A dwarf puffer would be alright, given you have good filtration and can keep it entertained and give it a stable supply of live shelled foods to keep its beak from over growing. But you'd only be able to keep one, and nothing else.

Neon Tetras, Glow Light Tetras, guppies, and betta fish, and small shrimp are all that come to mind for such a small tank.
