Apistogramma are very interesting to breed. Cockatoos are fairly easy and a good species to start out with. From there the sky is the limit, you can gradually try more difficult species. Some are extremely difficult if you want a real challenge. One plus with apistos is that they should be fairly easy to sell off and especially if you get into the more rare and difficult species they command a pretty good price.

But I reckon you'd still wanna keep some of the fry as your own. Or keep the best 2 and sell the rest. Keep the same bloodline.
