Hi, I am totally new and ignorant to all matters aquarium, due to having been left to care for a 4ft x 2ft tank and all that entails. For the last 7 weeks all I have done is clean the external filter out once, which was hideously clogged and top up the water a couple of times. So far I think I have been lucky as the water is quite clear and the fish seem happy! However the filter has now become noisy overnight and besides sure I should be doing more. Time and cash limited, so need all the advice I can get, any meetings coming up where I can pick brains etc ?.
