East Midlands Aquatics Trowell

Hey all, anyone been to this place, Maidenhead aquatics at Trowell is just down the road from this place so I though I'd check it out first, does anyone know if it's any good?

I have been to the MA at wheatcroft garden centre, very good but poor selection of cichlids. Tetra selection was immense though!

I think you mean it's near the other MA though don't you?!

The one i mentioned is very good.

Also might be a trek for you but Blue Lagoon at Scotland Nurseries in Tansley is very good too. As is Wharf Aquatics in Pinxton. There is also an aquatics place down the road from Blue Lagoon at Matlock Garden Centre. Haven't been for a while but it was 'ok' when i last went.

Thanks, I've been to Wharf, it's fantastic but hard to get to as I don't drive, so I need somewhere that has a local bus route really.

It was good, I was pleasantly surprised, for the size of the shop/shed I was quite impressed, a good variety of stock and for a good price too, nothing too unusual apart from the Rays and some Goby's but it's good.

I came away with 8 Ember Tetra's, 7 Cherry Shrimp and a Bristlenose Pleco for £20.

There is a loyalty scheme too, for every £10 you spend you get a stamp, get 10 stamps and you get £5 off your purchase.

that's a good price, do they do anything plants related? like plants? lol

They have a few plants, not the best of quality though.
