One of my favourite plants, Alteranthera reineckii appears to be dying. The symptoms are; shrivelling of the leaves, less colour, holes appearing, some leaves becoming transluscent, lower leaves completely transparent and no growth.

Until now the plant has shown excellent growth (pearling regularly) and has been pruned numerous times. It is almost a year old. My water parameters haven't changed (pH 6.6, GH 6, KH 3, CO2 20 mg/l, temp. 26 C).

Can anyone think of a reason or does this plant have a limited life span?

All my other plants are perfectly fine.
