Hi, i bought 3 dwarf puffers 3 days ago. The first day i fed them frozen bloodworms which they ate. The next day when i put the worms in the tank they did not touch them. There are a few ramshorn snails in the tank which i expected the puffers to at least make an attempt to eat, again they arent interested. Is there any reason why they wouldnt be eating? They all appear to be healthy, all swimming around the tank, no obvious signs of illness etc.

Try feeding them a variation of foods, such as shrimp as well as bloodworm. They'll eat eventually. Are all your tank parameters ok?

Variety is good. Are you in the UK? Pets at home has mixed frozen packs with bloodworm, daphnia and other yummies in them. I just give mine a different variety. I have also noticed that they prefer pest snails, you know the ones that you usually get in plants and breed like crazy, but you can also buy them. They didn't like the malaysian trumpet snails I put in, totally ignored them.

No signs of parasites? Internal parasites are somewhat common with puffers as they are wild caught.
