Dwarf Gourami

Where does the Drawf name come from, I bought two today to replace my smaller honeys as I wanted something slightly bigger for my 180L.
 
However, The blue guy is ...huge, It makes my 180L tank look small. So with my wages I'll be checking out for a 250+ plus litre tank on gumtree.

It's hard to tell from the picture. How huge are we talking? Dwarf gourami should only get to around 2 inches fully grown. Some other varieties can get as large as 6", so maybe the one you have was mislabeled.

I think the blue guy is around 4.7 to 5 inches long, So maybe mislabeled. Am just hoping they'll leave my cards alone

That's a three spot gourami, Trichogaster trichopterus; definitely not a dwarf! Your golden one is the same species, just a different colour morph.

Three spots are one of the most aggressive gouramis, so do keep an eye on them.

I see, The only other thing in the tank are Cards. So, Am hoping with the amount of plants I have and cover should be okay
