Dwarf Gourami Issue

nitrite 0
nitrate less than 5
Ph 7.4
gh / kh less than 5
78 degrees

I have never had luck keeping these fish. they all die within weeks. they get weak, get lethaegic, don't eat, then get stuck to my filter intakes. what am I doing wrong? I just put them in a breeder net to see if they will eat better.

They are dying from Dwarf Gourami Disease which only affects Dwarf Gouramis. You are doing nothing wrong ; however DGD cannot be treated. Stay away from Dwarf Gourami and buy related species- Colisa labiosa, Colisa fasciata or Colisa chuna- as these are immune to DGD

Allegedly they stand very little chance in tanks that aren't mature, if that's applicable to you.

it's been cycled for almost two months, but I would not call it mature.
