Dumb Question ?

I am treating fish for internal parasites. Thje bottle says remove carbon filter. Understand filter collects meds out of tank ok so far. Next do 25% water change and add prescribed dose of med. Do I change water and add med directly to tank or put it in the water I will put in the tank to mix it in the water so it it spread out more? sorry if I sound confused but I am.

I'd put the med in during water change, but I don't think it matters a great deal as it will be mixed by the action of the filter

Thanx; I was afraid the fish would think the granules were food and eat them before they dissolved.
