Dry Start on wood question

Hi all,

Been over a decade and can't remember my original account details so...hello again!

I'm trying a dry start with monte carlo on soil and weeping moss on driftwood.
Obviously the monte has plenty of nutrition from the soil but do I need to do anything to get more nutrition to the moss?

I've never tried dry starting moss. I assume you'll be spraying the moss down frequently? Mosses take all their nutrients from the water, so perhaps you could add some extremely diluted liquid fertilizer to your spray. In my experiences, most mosses don't need extra fertilization, but it might be interesting to try.

Oh that's interesting.

I've been spraying with distilled water from my fairly decent distiller, so I don't imagine there is anything left in the water. Pretty much RO water.

I keep the moss damp by spraying 3 times a day. I'm tempted to try the ferts or maybe some shrimp minerals...
