i came home last night to find her dead. i knew she wasnt going to pull through but it still really upset me to come in and see her floating. i want to cry.

sry jac, dropsy is an awful diease, i dont think i would be able to stand watching a fish slowly die for a week u did all u could for her dont feal bad

I'm sorry to hear about this too, I just lost a female beta to that last week. Just think of this.
When I bought my last beta, it was at wallmart and all there beta's were in little cups. Now I know most stores do that, but these all had covers and no air holes. I tried to explain to the moron that you need to take the tops off so they could get air, but he didn't understand, fish breath water he said. I'm sure all those fish died within a few days, at least you gave yours a good life until the dropsy.

Hey you. I'm very sorry to hear that. I want to tell you something Kelly told me when my girl died from dropsy.... I was sick of everyone telling me that I took good care of her and they were sorry blah blah blah.. (maybe you're not like that but I was rather bitter! ) )Anyways, she told me she had read/heard that dropsy can be like kidney failure in humans. It may be genetic, and there really is nothing we can do if that's the case. So rest assured knowing it wasn't your fault, and she probably DID enjoy a great life with you.
