Yes as long as it is the standard pH test kit and not the high range one. The other part you need is 4dKH water.

I have already made my 4dKH with distilled water and baking soda..

I don't think I should have used equal parts of each though...it's really dark blue right now.

I found something on the net.

Stated .98 grams of Sodium Bicarbonate to every quart of "distilled" water. It said it would get you pretty close.

We shall see.

10 hours and still absolutely no color change. Might have to re-think this, and get some new info.
 
Ya...that info was complete bunk. The guy was talking out of his Hoo Ha.
