just remember when setting up any new tank or changing the decorations in an existing tank that when adding stones...wash them first unlike me who just adds them to the water and then wonders why my water in both tanks look greeny brown and so does everything else. heres how it all started i got my new rekord 96 tank friday and added some black shiney stones which i didnt clean at all i just tipped them in oops changed the fish over to it which all went fine added my new bog wood and real plants then stepped back to take a good look an realised it looked horrible and murky???? anyway left it over the weekend with still no change and then tonight took 3 gallons of water from my rekord 60 tank which i also added the black stones to and o my days was the water black so out come another 1.5 gallons and new water was added and it made so much difference to the whole look of the tank so i did it to my rekord 96 but with 6 gallons and it done wonders for this tank aswell so will do it again in a week or so just to be sure.....ime no expert on fish keeping but just remember wash everything before putting it in ur tank.

I did something similar but with gravel that was a really bad mistake and its the poor fish that suffered for it. live and learn eh?

yea live and learn indeed you learn by ur mistakes they say. only 1 of my fish seemed to be suffering it was 1 of my red belly cichlids but has perked back up now so is ok.
