As the title says

I know I would have to soak it  for a few days to get it to sink, but have been told unlike mopani and bogwood it won't leach tannins.

Mine didn't, although I did soak mine for 2 days, draining and refilling with boiling water at the start of the second day.

I did the same as above with mine - boil it a few times and leave it to soak. Then soak it in cold water and then see how much it leaks.

Got it soaking now after first pouring over boiling water, can't wait to put it in the tank

Takes forever to sink, hope you've got a heavy rock to use til it's waterlogged!

Was hoping to put it in tank on Monday, I take it I am being too ambitious? oh well I can wait
