Do you think that the testing kit is one of the most important "equipment???

Dont ask why i asked.......or made this poll

Yes, I think testing kits are one the most important accessories. However, the most important asset in fish-keeping is the ability of the fish-keeper himself/herself. :D

I only test ammonia and nitrite regularly when cycling or when I'm adding new fishes. I test nitrate from time to time. I think it's essential to at least have one in case you need it, though.

Ditto!

Does anyone use this kit?

Link

and i wonder if it just tests and not have anything to adjust?? i mean if i test and my water is wrong, does it include someting to adjust it to right? -_-

i think it's important to have one coz then, u can keep track of your water chemistry and also you won't be guessing what is wrong, for instance, if a fish dies.

i use that kit.

and nope, there's nothing to correct it. just test. hth ^_^

I use some of the tests from that kit. AP is generally regarded as reliable from most people you'll ask.

I have asked this in your other message but what is it you need to adjust specifically?

nothing!!

i just used up my testt kit and wanna buy a new one, but i dunno if this one is good, i use the hagen one now, but this one is llike 1/2 price!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I thought you were actually needing the reduce the levels of something! Sorry, I must have mis-read what you were asking!

I didn't think that the freshwater masters were available over there? I find it a perfectly acceptable test kit but I think you have the old version.

Over here I bought mine for £17 and it tests for ammonia, PH, PH High, Nitrate and Nitrite so no need for a seperate nitrate kit.

If you can't get them I wouldnt mind getting one for you and mailing it if you could maybe paypal me the money or something?

I use that test kit. When I bought mine, it didn't include a nitrate test so I had to buy a separate one. All newer stock in shops now include the nitrate test. I have had no problems using my test kit and would recommend it to others! :D

Yes, to me it's a fundamental part of fishkeeping. Just like putting dechlorinator in the water.

It is a signal to problems that may be in the tank and is very important to me.
