Do My Fishies Love Me

YES! I swear my platies know me... and they know stuff too. Like, whenever I open the lid (either to feed them or do water changes, or whatever), they rush to the top thinking it's food. They KNOW, I swear... LOL.

Oh all my fish do that, I believe most people's do (hate to break it to you) Its just usually when the lid opens food goes in the water. Fish then associate a lid that is up with the giving of food.

If that's the case, then how come your fish hate you?

No, I was just kind of kidding (It's all true though), they just swim away when I walk to the tank!

My fish don't hate me, they just aren't used to people very well yet...until they have food

If you really want to know if your fish truly love and care for you ...ahem ...take your wife's most prized ring , dump it in the tank and see if they will retrieve it for you before she has to ...heh...Maybe after the beating you will get from your wife , the fish will automatically love you more by default.

im convinced that our fish know me.......when i come in from work in the morning ( im a night shift bod!) as soon as im spotted our fish (usually the tiger barbs see me first) they all start madly swimming up & down the tank & will swim to whichever end of the tank i head towards.
when my husb walks in even if its before me the fish ignore him & theres none of the excited scrum up the top of the tank that they do for me, they must see some difference in our appearance to know who owns the paws that feed them
