I am setting up a high-tech 20G (75L) tank and have been trying to figure out what I want to do for a CO2 system. I have done quite a lot of research and to be honest I'm getting a bit confused. I like the DIY system because it's cheap, but I also don't like the fact that I would always be needing to mix solutions every few weeks. I also would like the system to fit into my cabinet and I don't think 2-3 2L bottles will fit for a DIY system.

If I went with a pressurized system I would like it to run on a timer, but I don't know how to do this and if there are any kits that include this. I also would like to avoid having to replace CO2 tanks as much as possible.

What way should I go for a 20G tank? Do they sell good kits that include everything? I have seen the Fluval kit, but there are lots of bad reviews? What would you recommend? Links are appreciated :)

Also if you need info on the lights I will be using the aquatic life 24'' 2x24W 6k and colormax bulbs.

Found this: http://www.amazon.com/Deluxe-AQUATEK-Regulator-Integrated-Solenoid/dp/B008TRUI62/ref=sr_1_2?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1349168863&sr=1-2&keywords=aquatek+regulator

Has anyone used it? It seems to have pretty good reviews. Only thing bad I could find was that the needle valve isn't very adjustable, but holds its position well.

I was thinking about using it with a 20oz paintball tank and upgrade to a 5-10lb cylinder later on. How long would the paintball tank last for on 8-10hrs a day? What about a 5 or 10lb cylinder?

To be honest, I just use a regulator with a solenoid off ebay and a fire extinguisher. Works well, switchable, and half the price of a commercial set up.

Trying to figure out what regulator and solenoid. I haven't ruled out a fire extinguisher yet.

Anyone used this regulator from greenleafaquariums? http://greenleafaquariums.com/co2-regulators/paintball-co2-regulator.html
