At the moment I'm using 1 - 2 liter bottle and my C02 levels seems to be steady at around 10 ppm. Right now I have a low light tank, so I don't think I need to add much more, but when I do add more lighting I'd like to try adding another bottle. By adding another bottle, will this double my C02 production? I'm just assuming that it would. Also, whats the best way to go about changing the bottles when 2 are being used at the same time?

Thanks

Alternating them would be a good idea so you never stop producing c02. Yes, your c02 production will be doubled. Just make sure you don't go overboard in a low light tank. I'd say wait till you get your lighting upgraded, then add more c02.

Thanks. I'm going to leave it for now until I upgrade my lights.

depending on the size of your tank you should be able to get more out of the existing bottle by changing the mix. with a 2ltr bottle on a 40G you can still get 30PPM. above 40G and you'll need another bottle

That's interesting. My tank is 29 gal. and the C02 has been running for 6 days now. Is it possible that the C02 will still increase or has it maxed out? I'm getting a bubble every 2 or 3 seconds. I used 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of yeast and water. Maybe I should use more yeast?
