Discus And Oscars

discus can not go with oscar. Oscar can go with large tin foil barbs, large shark cat, large parrots (I believe), large plec, just large fish that can look after themselves. Maybe someone else can be more precise haha.

Ok,
oscar like fish to live with discus?

Didn't you get that answer to this question from the posts previous?

They do fine together in the wild because of the large schools of Discus and the space, but not in captivity unless your tank is HUGE.

I have seen a HUGE display that had an Arrowana with a large shoal of Discus.

As a Discus keeper you should know this.

And just so you know, this thread really should have been posted in NW Cichlid part of the forum.

our getting an abrupt response from people because these two aquarium fish are about as far apart in their character as you can get

I keeep both ( in seperate tanks of course)

Oscars are far too big, aggressive and boisterous for discus who prefer more sedate surroundings an tank mates)

Its often been said that tank mates of discus which are bigger than thediscus can often spook them
