Hi, I want some Botia Kubotia for my Discus tank. Please can anyone confirm whether they will mix, as I have had conflicting reports either way

Thanks in advance

hi rabbut,im not sure about kubotia loachs, but i have clowns along with my discus and have never suffered any problems, hope this helps

Considering clowns are more boisorous, it allows me to guage the likelyhood of success better :good: How long have you had your discus with the clowns?

Thanks again for your input

Hey rabbut, don't really know about mixing with discus but i keep clowns, almorhae and Kubotai and I'd agree that they are the least boistrous,
However they are very active, quick and inquisitive which may put the discus at unease??

That would probibly explain a few of the people advising me against it :good: My dominant discus makes it's feelings felt though.. I'm more conserned that s/he would actualy attack these tank mates if they had such an effect on them, and I know Botia Kubotia have "wepon sets" for such occasions that can do damage

Thanks all so far for you input :good:

The only thing I would be worried about is how active they are at night. These fish are nocturnal, and they may irritate the Discus as they are trying to sleep.
