:dunno: Im thinking of converting my 29gal into a cichlid tank and im thinking of possibly putting these fish in it: Convicts, jewel(s), and a firemouth. Will this work because ive heard that all of these grow to abou 5 or 6 inches is this true? and ive also read on multiple sites that they can be housed in a tank that size. and finally even if they all wont fit in my tank wou they go good togeather?

i have a few convict fry in a 29g and the people here say it's not a good idea to have any fish with a convict pair. I can see why becuase i hear they can get cranky when their breeding. oops i mean spawning.

You can get two male convicts and then you should be fine with the others. Jewels tend to be really aggressive though as far as I've heard.

I had a single jewel with non-breeding convicts and didn't have any aggression problems.
