Please help, Mrs krib laid her eggs out in the open on the back wall of the tank under a plant on wednesday night, mum and dad both took turns in guarding the eggs and did really well, I checked on them last night before bed and all was fine, got up this morn and they are all gone!!!!!! Mum and dad are still guarding the plant though as if there is still something there has she eaten them or hid them??
Thanks Karen

What other fish do you have in the tank, Karen?

Ah, probably the plec hoovering them up while the parents were asleep then; although lots of inexperienced cichlid parents do eat their first few broods, so that could be it.

I thought they may all be gone but was unsure as they are still guarding the area??

The kribs might not have realised they're all gone, or there could be a few survivors.

You'll have to wait and see really, as poking around could upset them enough to eat any eggs/fry that are left.

Will let you know in a couple days then, thanks sooo much for your time and help next time I will take him out so he can hoover somewhere else ;)
