It's not hard to save a sick betta leck, you don't know if the betta was going to die if she had saved it. Why do you insist of making an idiot out of yourself by saying "it would have died anyway" and "you guys try too hard". Those are some of the worst debate arguments I've ever heard of.

but today i went to teh petstore, and i was too late...he was no longer there me and my friend searched through the entire betta sections but couldnt' find him....i believe he probably died overnight or in the morning, and have been thrown out

Awww....poor betta....

I am not a fan of bettas but no fish deserves to be in such bad condition...

May he go to a happier place....

As an aside, I bought a female comet platy a while ago....she has bad finrot and ich and looked like she was going to die in the tank in the LFS.....so I bought her (she was looking at me)...I put her into a quarantine tank with salt and ich meds (and raised temp)....3 days later the ich was gone...2 weeks later the finrot was looking markedly better.....4 weeks after I got her the finrot had cleared.....6 weeks after I got her she went into the 30gall tank with all the othre fishies and is now my favourite fish....

In my case i guess I was lucky.....I wish I had pics but she was in a REALLY bad way when I bought her home....I tried not to get to attached at first, just in case....but even after I got her, she was swimming around...something she wasn't doing in the tank at the LFS...
