very nice shelagh, i do like the juwel tanks, saying they are the best aquariums is a bit far off though, they don't even compare to some, but price wise they are easily the best, i had the roma 240 for a year and had just about enough of it. i have the 100 litre juwel and just set it up and left it and its still running perfectly to this day! can't say anything bad about it at all!
will look nice as a marine tank, at the moment i am very tempted to turn the 7 foot tank marine, seen a 6 foot metal halide for £450 which is cheap (on the classifieds), i have set my mind on rays so would have to keep blue spotted rays, moray eel, lion fish and similar.
looks good and hope all goes well! look forward to seeing it as marine in 6 months time!

nice high tank!

ive had a juwel and a while and it was ok, but switched to a Rena after it gave up, no comparison with regard to build quality

ive decided to keep it tropical- got a few things on my mind atm so this is a hassle i can do without

so been rearranging this afteroon- looks ok, needs more wood and less fake plants, i do have a few real plants in there, wasnt going to mix fake with real, but they were from someone special

Looks great hon, now just needs more fish :p

As for the algae, are they T5 lights like on most (newer) Juwel tanks? If so, they are a #29### for algae, I have problems with green spot algae mostly, I have to scrub it off a couple of times a week, Ive cut my lights to 6 hours a day.

looks real good

(mags) oooh you mean "proper"fish

.. wouldnt mind more cichlids.. i love the festiviums ( brought those home the day i went for a sev

my vision gets that horrible spot algae, its a right royal pain in the bum to clean, yet the rio doesnt get it at all

Love the tank , looking good , it's a shame I don't stay closer , I have a really big piece of bogwood that would look good in there but would cost an arm and a leg to post it, really jealous of your tank , I can only squeeze an Elite 95ltr in here , I have been informed that I'm removing the built in wardrobes from the den , ha ha ha just realised that there will be about 7' x 2.5' , hmm wonder if the floor boards would hold , anyways nice to see that lovely big tank , you must be absolutely chuffed to bits , well done .... :good: :good: :good: :good: :good: :band:

how big and heavy? could it not go with a courier?

Aww thanks everyone :)

apart from the algae and the background, i quite like it ( theres no way in this world i can be @rsed moving it to take off the BG and swap it over to black.. tho ill get the urge one day  )
what i really need is a minxfishy round ere to scape it.. noticed how gorgeous her tanks are?

Behave yourself  It looks great, like the blue background, do you really need to get around it to move it, I just pull mine off and then drap them over the back and fix with some sellotape  Will look nice with your new fishes arriving soon :D I assume they are going in there?
