Dechlorinating Water

Hi,

We set up a new aquarium 10days ago and are thinking about dechlorinating the water. Does this need to be done as we just put pure tap water in and didn't dechlorinate it, or will the chlorine have 'died' off by now?

Most all municipal water suppliers use chloramine in addition to chlorine. Chlorine will gas out, chloramine will not. Use the dechlorinator.

Just a quick question here How fast does the dechlorinator like API Stress coat take to work? Is it instant? A few mins or hours?
