Decapitation As Euthanasia

I once thought that I had to euthanise my betta but he somehow just sprang up and was okay. Id say unless you know for sure that your betta is about to die or is suffering that go with it.

I had to add this lil bit of info as it has been buggin me for a bit and i want people to know that facts before they decide to do it.

When you freeze a betta, yea his body shuts down, and yea it does the job but just think...when you get really really cold you slow down too and think of how much your body hurst too. Have you ever gone out snow balling, after a while your fingers kill right...the betta goes through that pain, he is in agony before he dies, before his body shuts down he gets to feel parts of him freezing and dieing. Its the same with freezing water only the sudden change throws his boddy into shock.....ever been nice and toasty then got in a freezing cold bath? Its not nice. Please if you are going to do it i would go 3 ways, clove oil, fish sleeps fish drowns in sleep, end of. Decapatating, The fish has the stress of being removed from his tank but its over oh so fast, no pain and lastly crushing, put him between some wet tissue or cloth and then hit him with something much larger than he is. The last two sound discusting but its only you that suffers not the fish. Off soap box

Now....i want to know how the little fella is too?
