I have a 30gal long with a range of community fish and a number of Shrimp both Amano and RCS, the RCS like to hide out within a hollow Buddha head, they can get inside as the statue is slightly tilted and so showing a gap ar the front. Obviously the water inste the head will not have as much circulation and if the RCS live within it the concentration of Ammonia will increase to levels shrimp cannot happily live in. However the ammonia will diffuse out of this water but will it be sufficient enough to maintain a healthy ammonia level within the statue?
Any thoughts?
