Here is my PFK nano cube which has been set up for just over a week now. Information as follows:

Tank: 12x12x12" cube

Filtration: Supafish Aqua-Flow Mini

Lighting: 2 x 11 watt PL Lamps

Temperature: 25 degrees C

Substrate: Black sand

CO2: DIY yeast with Glass Nano Diffuser

Fertiliser: None at present although i do have API Leaf zone which i dont use as it always seems to promote algae growth.

Plants: Eleocharis acicularis (Dwarf Hairgrass), Eloda Densa, Crypt Wendtii, Amazon Sword and Dwarf Sagittaria (soon to be replaced by more HG when it arrives) also have Glosso on order.

Decor: 2 rocks (forget which type). Both to be covered with Ricca shortly.

Fish: 1 Dwarf Puffer, 2 Oto's. Also one apple snail :)

Dwarf puffers dont need salt. They are 100% freshwater.
Other types of puffers do need salt though.

If it has the right lighting and nutriants in can grow quite fast. Its not doing to bad in my tank. Seems to be gorwing much faste rin sand then it ever did in my tin gravel which was classed as silica sand..

No there is many types of hairgrass and you can indeed get tall hairgrass. The hairgrass in my tank as stated is Dwarf Hairgrass (Eleocharis Aricularis) which grows to around 10-15cm tall. Tall Hairgrass (Eleocharis Vivipara) grows 20-35cm.

You can buy it from plant shops online. My LFS only sells tall hairgrass and i wouldnt want to keep trimming it as it makes a mess :)
