Hey thought I would post up some pictures about my tank it is a juwel trigon 190, the tank has been up and running for 4 months now. The tank is going well and running fine.
I wanted to post up some pictures of my tank to see what you guys/gals think, I would like opinions on my set up, and all help is appreciated. the Anubias (barteri) in the middle of the tank was from a1matt it is a amazing example told him I wanted it one after noon at 2:30 turned up the next morning at 10:30 I recommend a1matt if you after any plants check him out :good: (I will have my free plants whenever mate haha)

The tank is currently stocking:
4 angles
6 albino Corys
6 black phantom tetra
1 pleco
1 ballon molly(getting moved to my other tank)

As things happen i will update the thread :)
Thanks for looking :good:

Not fussed on the ornament on the left hand side. :/ And it is crying out for some branchy pieces of wood. The plants look great though. :)

Thanks minnnt, i'm not to fussed either really just in there because i have just paid £10 for it lol not a lot of money really so it will have to come out :good:

as far as the Branchy pices of wood i'm with you on that looking high and low for some but finding it hard :/

Cracking anubias. Would look a lot better with a black background I feel.
Thanks kyle black background it sat under the tank just needs putting on but in two minds between black or 3D :)

It's a lot of effort, but 3d backgrounds look superb on a Trigon.

i do love the 3D background and i'm in two minds, to either put my black one on or go all out drain her and go 3D.

Go with the black for a week and see how you get on with it. 3D's are expensive afterall. I just use black and i like it. You need a ton more plants too, that always improves things.

As for wood, if you're really struggling then have a trip to the local woods/forest and see if you can find any pieces you like. Oak and Beech make for very good wood for aquariums, but most will do as long as they're well dried out. They will probably float though so will need weighing down with rocks or wedging in place. They're also handy for adding moss to and other plants which like their roots to be exposed to the water column.

Lovely looking setup mate and gorgeous fish. I've just setup one myself to have a couple of species of mbuna, certainly a lovely looking tank but think the trigon 350 is something i will be getting in the near future.

Thanks for your advice minnnt, plants are something im looking into i need a bit more knowledge about them :), i'm going to check out 3 new LFS tomorrow to see about wood.

Thanks Malawi, i'm planning on keeping this till maybe just after the new year then go bigger. :)

It's normally more stressful for the other half when i go... as it is usually her fault if they haven't got what i want or if i can't get served

Nice tank :). Wish I had the dark wood version looks much neater than beach :good:

Thanks schottay, I thought it did but the misses has said otherwise so after Christmas I have to change :/ but she said I can go bigger so that a good deal :good:

Haha, my misses wanted the Beech one so I got that. I'd prefer the Dark Wood though!

I'm wanting to upgrade to the Trigon 350 but the one wall seperating the living room from the kitchen is a few inch too small so the 350 will hang over and I don't want that lol would annoy me!

Check out my 190 thread, I have a 3D Background mint was on about. Does it so much justice but it's the price that puts people off. Makes the tank look stunning imo, no other backgrounds come close to giving the outcome a 3D Background does. :good:

Haha That would annoy me to if it hung over, I will check out your tank. I have only seen the 3D background on pictures, I know what your saying about price it is pretty pricey. But if it gives a real good look then I don't mind paying the money.
