David Blane In A 8ft Bubble Aquarium For A Week...

Why do people on this forum feel the need to criticize EVERYTHING?? Intelligent people know it's not real, but it's entertaining to watch anyway. If you don't like it, whether it be David Blaine, news coverage of certain recent events, etc...then don't watch it. End of story.

For the same reason you are criticising people who have replied in this thread...because you can.
and to change what you said very slightly: 'if you don't like it, then don't read it' would seem just as applicable to your post as it is to everyone elses.

but it's entertaining to watch anyway

I think that's the point....sitting in a box or on a pillar isn't entertaining, any idiot can do it and if he is intent on doing it he could at least do it in his own country. Still, on reflection I think he learnt that one himself... as I doubt we'll ever see him in London doing his 'illusions' again.

But if nothing is ever criticised, how does anyone ever understand what might be wrong.

Supposing only people who are fooled by Blaine ever have any input on anything to do with him. He will grow in cult like status until many believe he is truly a modern day Merlin. That would not be good at all.

Furthermore, suppose it is politics and what the government is doing. If instead of watching the debates, getting angry and deciding to do something about it you just turned the telly off then democracy as a whole would end.

hahaha.....I know what you mean, people in online forums believe that they can say anything about anyone because they are behind the safety of the computer screen! hahaha! but I admit I may have been a bit harsh to him, but either way I just this it a mis-named show/act.... as I was saying, I do alot of magic myself and I have a lot of respect for others who do, but magic tricks (or illusions in this case) are not necessarily the stunts he does. I just think its funny he is know as a famous illusionist while he does these stunts that are not really related to magic at all and more directed towards his own endurance... maybe it just came off as something else when I wrote before but I was laughing when I was writing, not angry!

Although this brings up an issue prevalent on these forums... Unfortunately there are always a few people who are so critical and get mad and correct others at all costs to seem like they are better in some way.... I have been seeing this a lot in the fish quiz and sections like that with people challenging other people and calling them down. this is kind of stupid when we all have such common interests and would it not be better to lend a helping hand with our knowledge and not shove it in someones face to make them feel bad? honestly, we are all friends here, right?

I was curious about what his skin looked like and I found these pictures...gross!

 This looks like the hands of a drowned corpse.

I can feel a Michael Jackson joke coming on.................better not, though, eh?.
