Darting Surface Gourami

I have 3 3 spot gourami's. I have recently been adding more to the tank in the way of plants n shelter n they seem to be very happy, following each other around the tank from one area to another but occasionally they dart at the surface like they spotted something amazing at the surface and then they return to what they were doing.

Is this normal?

They breath partially from the surface, as do all gouramis. Totally normal.

It's normal. Some gouramis are just crazy I have a powder blue that is funny as heck to watch.

Nothing wrong with active Gouramis!!
