Thanks! Not all of them do it, but as I understand it most of them will. Some don't have the natural inclination and need to be shown a bubble nest before they can do it themselves. (I've read one person transfered a bubble nest from a different tank to spur their little guy to build.)
wow go Darby! Even my little Salem is making a bubble nest its only tiny not as big as yours :dance: its just sometimes i think its not a bubble nest sometimes i think its that he likes it here!
Yay! I'm so glad to hear that Salem's bubble nesting. There were a few times when I saw bubbles in the tank (I think from the filter), and I wasn't sure, but after seeing this creation, I knew it couldn't be anything else.

It looks like your tank is an Eclipse? Do you have the filter going? If so, that's probably why he doesn't build bubblenests very often. Most only will if there's no current at all. That doesn't mean they're any less happy, though.
LOL tell me about it! He's got all the showings of a great stud. He's very impressed with himself.
And yes, the tank is an Eclipse 3 and the filter is in fact running, but I've added a little concoction to slow down the flow and it works beautifully.
Here is the link to it, I highly recommend it if you have one yourself. He can swim all around and under it (even floating in place beneath it) without getting blown around at all.
yea last sunday i got my betta and for the past 2 days there were bubbles everywhere! not a nest kind though!
Do you have a filter in the tank? If so, try the link above for a good way to slow it down. My filter was making bubbles when I first set the tank up too.
