Darby's First Bubblenest!

I came home from work this evening and when I opened the lid to feed the little monster, what did I find but this?

It's so big! At least, I think it is. Maybe I'm biased though. It's good though, right? I mean, for a first bubble nest?
Here is another one of my little bugger showing off. Am I crazy, or is his coloring really starting to come out? Look at the purple!

And one last shot of the nest. I'm such a proud betta mum. I thought he'd never make one!

I just had to share because I'm so excited LOL!

Aww, that's good news! I'm sad that I missed Darby actually building it, but at least it's there! He seems to have completely forgotten about it now, he's just "dancing" back and forth, watching me.

I was a little worried he wouldn't build one either, but looks like I got lucky! He really likes that little plant in there, so maybe that spurred him on.

Oh no LOL! My fiance would skin me alive if I got more fish! I wouldn't know the first thing about what to do with them, and I'd probably end up being overprotective and not let anybody I know have one unless they submitted to a strict screening process.

Aww. I bet he'd be a great daddy. Then again, he'd probably just eat them all. That's my little piglet!

wow go Darby! Even my little Salem is making a bubble nest its only tiny not as big as yours :dance: its just sometimes i think its not a bubble nest sometimes i think its that he likes it here!
