Danios

what kind?

I'm just gonna guess zebras because they're the most common in which case not at all as long as you have a healthy shoal of 6 or more ( if you only have like 4 they will still be fine but really you want 6+).

and if they're not zebras all danios are still 100% peaceful fish as long you keep them a good sized shoal.

lol your respond popped up right as i entered mine, pearls are perfectly peaceful and 9 is a good healthy amount, they should be perfect

enjoy your fish. and do you plan on adding something to them or are you adding 9 to a existing tank?

Some Danio's will nip but it depends on the fish and the size of the shoal (i.e a single danio is likely to nip a Betta or similar fish).
Overall, they should be fine.
What fish are you putting them with?

I added the 9 to my 75g tank. and they tend to stay at the very top of the tank..

seems all right to me just watch them over a couple a days to make sure they all get along smaller danios can get bullied but with 9 that shouldn't happen. and good luck, pearls are beautiful fish and fun to watch play .

some of the danios keep poking at some of my swords and platies

danios are very playful and outgoing fish so most likely they are trying to get them to play, just keep an eye on them and if the swords and platties fins start to get ragged remove the danios, but like I said danios have big personalities and will try to make fish play with them, a lot of people will put them in tanks if their fish are shy because danios can bring out the playful side of almost anything. keep us posted on their progress.

Danios are a top dwelling specie of fish so don't worry about this. You should notice when you feed them they dart up and down towards the surface.
They are native to Southeast Asia and come from fast flowing streams and rivers so are constantly swimming against the currents.
What are the temperatures in the tank? And what is the flow rate like? Turnover?

I think the temp sits about 74 (im not home right now to verify) thats the last temp I saw. and I have a Marineland 350 filter. im aware I will need to upgrade it at some point as its meant for a max of 70gallons and so is the minimum I could use for the tank. I was only expecting to buy a 55g.
