Something awful has just happened. Cleaning out my danios and forgot to put the lid on!! Came back and couldn’t find one of them (Pearl)! I was frantic for around 20 mins looking for her and finally found her right under a chest of drawers. She wasn’t moving at all so I panicked and just threw her back in the tank. She started jerking around and after a few mins, then a very slow swim on a slant, now she is swimming around level but just in little bursts, not to mention she is covered in fluff. My question is, what are the chances she will be fine and can I do anything about the fluff?

50/50, depends on if desiccation caused any internal damage. It's a good sign if she is showing slow progress, unfortunately only time will tell.

Just wait and see. If it wasn't out of water for too long and didn't do any major damage, it will be fine. The fact it's movign around is a good sign. If it sinks to the bottom and can't swim, then it's probably going to die.

The fluff will come off by itself. Just leave the fish in the tank and as the fish recovers, the fluff will come off and if the fish is ok in a day or two, it should be free of fluff.
