Hey guys, i now have 2 fairly nice Cyclop cultures but there tank is getting rather full of algae, i went to my LFS today (P@H) and they said snails wouldnt last very long and that they couldnt sell me fish because i didnt have a filter...

Firstly i wouldnt put a fish in there even with a filter because the algae is quite bad and i dont think i can or should use a filter with my cyclops as they will proberbly get hoovered up and also getting 2 new filters for jsut culturing seems like a bit of a waste ot me as well.

Has anyone got any opinions on what i should use to balance my setup so that i will have something to clear up the left overs, thanks

The tank setups are:

10 Litre tank + air flow next to a window so that the algae can grow for the cyclops

6 Litre tank + air flow on top of the 10 litre tank again on the window sill.

A few common pond snails, normally pest on plants in each tank should be fine. If they breed you can pick them out and feed them to your fish.
